Reconstruction Project of Kedarnath Dham

As you are aware that the Kedarnath area was struck by a major calamity in 2013 which caused large scale destruction of property and infrastructure in parts of Uttarakhand, including shrine of Kedarnath and massive loss of human life.

2. During his visit to Kedarnath on 20th October last year, the Hon’ble Prime Minister directed the local government to take steps for reconstruction of Kedarnath area. The State Government of Uttarakhand have endeavored to restore the shrine and the surrounding area to its pristine glory, while providing devotees with all modern amenities and services. To meet this goal, the State Government has now constituted ‘Shri Kedarnath Charitable Trust’ to seek funds for Shri Kedarnath Dham reconstruction works.

3. The Indian Diaspora is requested to contribute to the noble cause through the Kedarnath Charitable Trust, specially created for the purpose by the State Government.
