| Pulsar Trio is a fusion group consisting of piano, sitar and drums. The line-up of Pulsar Trio is unique – a rarity in the world of music. They are highly energetic with driving beats and finely elaborated vital melodies. Due to its unusual combination of instruments - sitar, piano and drums the trio creates a groovy fusion of Jazz and World beats. Style wise the three musicians are attached to a down-to-earth recognizable Jazz, using influences from the verges of Jazz purism. Pulsar Trio has given proof of the quality of their musical voyage of discovery in a number of concerts. Among others, they have performed at Fusion Festival, Leverkusen Jazz Days as well as the well-known Glastonbury Music Festival. With their distinguished music, the trio have been appreciated in various festivals. In July 2014, it was the winner of the German CREOLE Global Music Contest on Rudolstadt Festival. Their debut album »Erpelparka Suite« was released in 2012 at London´s well known label First Hand Records. In April 2016, the sequel album »Cäthes Traum« was released at t3 records/Berlin and found widespread appreciation and praise with audiences and critics on an international level. New tracks that explore and expand Pulsar Trio’s sound cosmos are being released on their third album in April 2018, followed by an international record release tour. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… Das Pulsar Trio ist eine Fusion-Gruppe bestehend aus Piano, Sitar und Schlagzeug. Das Line-Up des Pulsar Trio ist einzigartig - eine Seltenheit in der Welt der Musik. Sie sind sehr energiegeladen mit treibenden Beats und fein ausgearbeiteten Vitalmelodien. Durch die ungewöhnliche Kombination der Instrumente Sitar, Piano und Schlagzeug erzeugt das Trio eine groovige Mischung aus Jazz und World Beats. Stilistisch sind die drei Musiker einem bodenständigen Jazz verbunden. Inzwischen konnte die Gruppe die hohe Qualität ihrer musikalischen Entdeckungsreise auf einer Vielzahl von Konzerten unter Beweis stellen. So gastierte das Pulsar Trio u.a. beim Fusion Festival, den Leverkusener Jazztagen und auf dem renommierten Glastonbury Musikfestival. Im Juli 2014 gewann es den deutschlandweiten CREOLE Global Music Contest auf dem Tanz- und Folkfest in Rudolstadt. 2016 erschien ihr zweites Album »Cäthes Traum« auf dem Label t3 records/Berlin, mit dem sie bei einem internationalen Publikum und Kritikern gleichermaßen punkten konnten. Neue Stücke, die den Pulsar Klangkosmos ausloten und erweitern, werden im April 2018 auf einem neuen Album erscheinen und im Rahmen einer internationalen Record Release Tour dem Publikum vorgestellt. |
