Radha Sarma is a devoted classical dancer, who has dedicated her career to the promotion and propagation of Bharatha Natyam. She is a stalwart supporter of the art of Bharatha Natyam. Radha believes that ‘stage is where she is’. Radha Sarma started her dance at the tender age of three and thereby she went on to complete her education in the ancient Indian art form. She believes that ‘pure art is based on total dedication; it is a penance. To reach the finality of any art one has to travel on a long and difficult path’.
Radha Sarma started the “Radha Institute of Dance” in Germany in 1990 and has been instrumental in imparting the knowledge of this art form to many students. She has incorporated different musical and dance styles and has choreographed and performed in classical and contemporary dances. Her main endeavor is to expose the beauty and the intrinsic techniques of this divine art to the art lovers. She has succeeded in her mission to a considerable extent as it is evident from the various workshops done in many parts of Germany and abroad. Over the last two decades Radha has extended her dance repertoire to include European dance styles like Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz and also Latin-American dances. The special charm in Radha’s choreography and dance lies in the symbiosis of all these different dance styles. She creates a new form of expressive dance linked with the traditional form of nritya (eloquent dance form).

Radha Sarma ist eine engagierte Künstlerin, die ihr Leben dem klassischen Bharatanatyam-Tanz widmet. Ihre Leidenschaft ist reiner klassischer Tanz und wo immer sie ist, ist ihre Bühne. Radha Sarma begann im zarten Alter von drei Jahren mit dem Tanz und erhielt eine vollständige und intensive Ausbildung in der Kunst des Bharatanatyam.
Radha Sarma gründete 1990 das "Radha Institute of Dance" in Deutschland und war maßgeblich daran beteiligt, vielen Studenten das Wissen des Bharatanatyam-Tanzes zu vermitteln. Sie hat mit verschiedenen Musik- und Tanzstilen gearbeitet und im klassischen und zeitgenössischen Tanz choreografiert und performt. In den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten hat sie ihr Tanzrepertoire Stück für Stück um europäische Tanzstile wie Ballett, Modern Dance, Jazz Dance und auch lateinamerikanische gestanzte Tänze wie zum Beispiel Tango Argentino erweitert. Der besondere Reiz in Radhas Choreographie und Tanz liegt in der Symbiose all dieser verschiedenen Tanzstile. Sie kreiert eine neue Form des expressiven Tanzes, verbunden mit der traditionellen Form der Nritya (expressive Tanzform).
