1. The Embassy of India has given a detailed circular on Fraud Calls emanating from spoofed numbers in our website (click here).There are some victims in Germany who had lost money to these fraudsters and have used Western Union Money Transfer. It has been felt that those who lost money may give the particulars to Embassy of India, Germany in the above format, including with the Western Union Transaction reference numbers. These details may be sent at the earliest (before Februray 28,2018) to the mail ids minca.berlin@mea.gov.in and minpers.office@indianembassy.

2. Meanwhile, Western Union has given a circular requesting the victims who lost money to these fraudsters for electronically filing claim petitions for the period between January 1, 2004 till January 19, 2017.  Western Union is willing to remit the payments, if found satisfactory as per the circular. The details are available in the link www.westernunionremission.com. It is requested that those who lost money through the Western Union Money Transfer could file claim petitions.
