M/s. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Navaratna Public Sector Undertaking and Fortune 500 Company, involved in Refining, Marketing and Distribution of Petroleum products has established a world class Research & Development (R&D) Centre with State of the Art Research & Development facilities at Bengaluru.

 HPCL is planning to procure TG-IR-GC/MS system for the analysis of evolved gases. This instruments should be usable with hyphenation together and also as standalone systems.

TGA equipped with auto-samples, should have temperature range from sub ambient to 1200 DegC. With user selectable heating range from 0.1 to 500 DegC/min and balance capacity of 1300 mg or better.  Mid IR and Far IR FTIR system having ISO 9001 certification should be equipped with DTGS (each for Mid and Far IR) and MCT detectors. FTIR library also to be provided. Should also provide the FTIR imaging system which should operate in rapid scan mode in infrared image collection. GC/MS system should be fully automated with programmable pneumatic control. Should have operating temperature from 50 to 500 DegC  and heating rate from 1 to 200 DegC/min. GC should be equipped with Flame Ionization detector, whereas MS must be equipped with Electronic Ionization and chemical Ionization Sources. Automatic headspace sampler with minimum 16 vial capacity to be provided.
