BOMBAY DIARIES is an exception: Debutant Director Kiran Rao has managed to shoot a commercial arthouse film. A city, four people, many stories: Shai\'s new in Bombay. The young amateur photographer wants to explore the home of her parents with the camera. She applies to the unapproachable artist Arun and spends a night with him. Their ways separate and while Arun gets lost in the fateful video diaries of the unknown housewife Yasemin, Shai starts a friendship against all conventions with the scrubber Munna. He guides her through the remotest corners of the vibrant and modern metropolis, falls in love and begins to dream of the impossible...

Sie trifft auf den unnahbaren Künstler Arun und verbringt eine Nacht mit ihm. Ihre Wege trennen sich. Und während Arun sich in den schicksalhaften Videotagebüchern der ihm unbekannten Hausfrau Yasemin verliert, freundet sich Shai entgegen aller Konventionen mit dem Wäscher Munna an.
