The epic Bollywood romantic drama, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Devdas), is inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

The tramp Ram (Ranveer Singh) and the beautiful, fearless Leela (Deepika Padukone) are in deep love with each other – but the clans of the two have been enemies for over 500 years. Despite of all obstacles and intolerance, this great love arises and now leads them to a severe test.
