Maritime India Summit 2016 (MIS 2016) from 14-16 April 2016 in Mumbai

In view of the excellent opportunity in India's ship building industry, inland waterways and allied sectors, the Ministry of Shipping of Government of India is organising a global investment meet - Maritime India Summit 2016 (MIS 2016) from 14-16 April 2016 in Mumbai. The Summit would be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on 14th April 2016.

The Summit intends to take forward the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister of "Make in India" and "Port Led Development". The Summit will host forums for interaction and collaboration with Indian and international maritime companies, policy makers, international head of States, investors and other stakeholders. It would be first of its kind of global platform available in India for collaboration across the maritime industry.

There is significant potential to increase Indo-German bilateral trade and investment though technical collaboration in ship design, equipment manufacturing, ship building and ship repair. German companies are therefore invited to take advantage of this platform and showcase its strength in the maritime sector to expand their business in India and find global business partners.
