Dr. Tushar Rastogi receives the "Paul Crutzen Award"

The Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh - German Chemical Society) is the largest chemical society in continental Europe with members from academe, education, industry and other areas. The society brings together people working in chemistry and the molecular sciences and supports their striving for positive, sustainable scientific advance - for the good of humankind and the environment.

To support this cause every year the society gives an award for outstanding scientific work in the field of Chemistry called The Paul Crutzen Award. The selection is done by a panel of experts of Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh)

This year's award has been bestowed to Dr. rer. nat. Tushar Rastogi,at the Institute of Sustainable and Environmental Chemistry (ISEC), Leuphana Universitat Luneburg for his contribution in the field of environmental and green chemistry. He is conferred with an award of Euro 1500. The award ceremony will take place in September during the Setac-GLB conference (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) in Tubingen.

Dr. Tushar Rastogi was born on 19 September 1985, comes from Lucknow, India. It is to be noted that he will be the first Indian recipient of this award.
