1. Government of India under the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ is undertaking the largest ever evacuation of stranded Indian nationals from countries across the world to India. As part of this Mission, the following two special Air India flights have presently been scheduled from Germany to India:

The Embassy of India, Berlin, has received a large number of registrations from Indian nationals stranded in Germany to return to India.During this phase of the Vande Bharat Mission, only some of those who have registered can be accommodated in the two special Air India flights that have been scheduled. Passengers will have to bear the cost of travel by these flights as well as for the mandatory quarantine facilities on arrival in India. Air India has conveyed the fares for the two Air India flights from Germany as below:

Based on the registrations received by the Embassy, passengers for these two flights will be prioritized taking into consideration compelling reasons such as urgent medical cases, pregnant women, short-term visa holders, senior citizens, etc. as stated in the Standard Operating Procedure issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for Movement of Stranded Indian Nationals dated May 05, 2020 (available at https://indianembassyberlin.gov.in/pdf/MHA_SOPsMovement_of_Indian_Nationals_stranded.pdf)

4. Short-listed passengers for the two flights would be informed by e-mail by the Embassy of India in Berlin. Those stranded Indian nationals who have already registered with us on the form issued on 8 May 2020 are not required to register again. We urge all those who have registered to be patient and follow updates on the Embassy’s website and social media.
