Lucrezia Maniscotti

Lucrezia Maniscotti is a Bharatanatyam and drama artist, teacher and scholar based in Italy. She has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 13 years in Italy under Monica Gallarate and Maresa Moglia. Since 2006 she is undergoing intense training under the sage guidance of Padmasree Adyar K. Lakshman in Chennai where she took her dance Diploma after her Debut Perfomance at Kapalishwara Temple in 2009. She is also learning Carnatic vocal and nattuvangam under Bhagavatulu Seetarama Sharma and abhinaya from Smt Indira Kadambi. Lucrezia attended many workshops for advanced students with Miss Leela Samson in UK and performed at the music and dance Festival 2010 of Chennai and at Saila Sudha festival in 2011 at Chennai.
Lucrezia is the founder of Sagome Teatro, an association for promoting Indian classical performing arts in Italy. Since 2002 she is teaching drama and Bharatanatyam in many schools and cultural centres in Italy. She is also performer and choreographer for "Denis Stern Project" and "DuniaTrio" (world music) and "Milon" (dance and music from Rabindranath Tagore).
Lucrezia also received a prestigious fellowship from the UK based organization "Milapfest", for travelling and deepen her Bharatanatyam studies.
Bharatanatyamis a South Indian dance style, which is especially cultivated in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and is based on ancient Indian traditions in literature and art. The contents of the dance hails from the Hindu mythology, literature, philosophy and religion. The dance music is South Indian Carnatic music.

Lucrezia Maniscotti ist eine Bharatanatyam-Künstlerin, Lehrerin und Wissenschaftlerin in Italien. Sie lernte Bharatanatyam in den vergangenen 13 Jahren in Italien von Monica Gallarate und Maresa Moglia. Seit 2006 trainiert sie intensiv unter der Leitung von Padmasree Adyar K. Lakshman in Chennai, wo sie ihr Tanz -Diplom im Jahr 2009 ablegte. Daneben lernt sie auch südindischen (karnatischen) Gesang, Nattuvangam und Abhinaya (Ausdruck). Lucrezia besuchte viele Workshops für Fortgeschrittene mit Frau Leela Samson in Großbritannien und trat beim Musik-und Tanzfestival Chennai 2010 und dem Saila Sudha Festival im Jahr 2011auf.
Lucrezia ist Gründerin des Sagome Teatro, einem Verein zur Förderung der klassischen indischen darstellende Kunst in Italien. Seit 2002 unterrichtet sie Schauspiel-und Bharatanatyam an vielen Schulen und Kulturzentren in Italien. Sie ist auch Performer und Choreograf für "Denis Stern Projekt" und "DuniaTrio" (Weltmusik) sowie "Milon" (Tanz und Musik von Rabindranath Tagore).
Lucrezia erhielt für Reisen und vertiefende Bharatanatyam-Studien ein Stipendium der in Großbritannien ansässigen Organisation "Milapfest".

Bharatanatyam ist ein südindischer Tanzstil, der besonders im indischen Bundesstaat Tamil Nadu gepflegt wird und auf alten indischen Traditionen in Literatur und Kunst basiert. Die Inhalte des Tanzes stammen aus der hinduistischen Mythologie, Literatur und Religionsphilosophie. Die Musik, nach der getanzt wird, ist die südindische karnatische Musik.
