Saraswati Sanskrit Prize 2014

The Saraswati Sanskrit Prize was instituted by ICCR in 2008 to recognize the contribution of students in promoting the understanding of Sanskrit and also to foster a deeper understanding of Indian heritage.  The award is being conferred every two years ever since and administered by the South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University.  The award comprises a visit (including air travel and hospitality) to India for a period of ten days and will include a citation during the award ceremony in Heidelberg and a silver plaque to be handed over during the stay in India.

Oral presentations or debates for the Saraswati Sanskrit Prize 2014 are scheduled to be held on 29th August 2014 at South Asia Institute, Heidelberg University.  This year’s topic is:
