The Embassy of India, Berlin organised a seminar on Opportunities in the Indian Defence Production Sector on 09 November 2023, to promote investments by German defence firms in Defence Industrial Corridors in India, enhance the participation of  Indian defence industry in their supply chain to facilitate resilience and foster technology collaboration with India.

The Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation Ltd, Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority, Federal Association of the German Security and Defence Industry, Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers and Invest India took part in the Seminar, while members of the Indian defence industry were also connected virtually with the proceedings.

The Ambassador of India in Germany, Shri Parvathaneni Harish highlighted the huge potential of India Germany defence industry collaboration and growing partnerships that have strengthened India Germany Strategic Partnership.  Eminent panellists dwelt upon key aspects of fostering a symbiotic relationship between German and Indian defence industry based on shared goals and complementarity of strengths, including skilled workforce and competitive costs from India and high technologies and investment from Germany.  This seminar will go a long way in aiding greater collaboration between defence industries of India and Germany.
