Ambassador Smt. Mukta Dutta Tomar presents her credentials to H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier 

On April 24, 2017, Ambassador Smt. Mukta Dutta Tomar presented her Letter of Credence to Hon'ble President of the Federal Republic of Germany H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The Accreditation Ceremony was held at Schloss Bellevue, the Office and Residence of Hon’ble German President.

In a meeting following the ceremony, President Steinmeier recalled his previous engagements with India and conveyed his warm greetings to the people of India. Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Government and people of India and expressed India’s appreciation of Germany’s commitment to the strategic partnership between lndia and Germany, further cemented by the high level meetings between Prime Minister of lndia and German Chancellor on several occasions in the recent years and the positive intent on both sides to cooperate further.

Hon'ble President and Ambassador Tomar expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relationship between India and Germany. They acknowledged that huge opportunities exist in the bilateral relationship between them, as both countries are on positive growth trajectories. Ambassador also referred to the shared values of democracy and federal polity which further strengthen this important relationship. Hon’ble President conveyed his best wishes to Ambassador for a successful stint in Germany.
