Advisory on Fraud Calls

Be alert of fraud calls made from spoofed numbers or fraud emails sent from forged sender addresses.

The fraudsters claim to be officials of the Embassy of India, Berlin / Indian Consulates in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Apart from misguiding people with claims of wrong immigration data entry, etc., the fraudsters are also misusing the pandemic situation to exploit people in the name of Covid-19 Verification/Survey.

Please note that this Embassy is not conducting any such verification or surveys on Covid-19. Neither is money ever asked to be paid over phone calls or through emails.

Do NOT share your personal details with anyone or make any payment over phone or email. Such fraud contacts should be reported to the Embassy immediately by sending an email to ca.berlin@mea.gov.in.
