Sarod virtuoso Apratim Majumder is considered as the most thinking and creative Sarod player of his generation and has already performed hundreds of concerts. Apratim (born in1978) began his training in music at the age of five under the guidance of his mother. After four years of his training in classical vocal music he took up Sarod at the age nine. He studied music for more than 23 years and still continues. Initially he was tutored and groomed by Prof. Rabin Ghosh, disciple of Ustad Alauddin Khan, in strict discipline and perfect style of Senia Maihar Gharana for over 20 years. Apratim also received training from Shree Partho Sarothy.
Amit Chatterjee, the star tabla player, has been making waves in each of his many personas. Amit regularly performs with some of the greatest names in Indian Classical Music. With an unique blend of both Farukhabad and Punjab’s rich musical flavor in his music, he got these rare opportunities to receive blessings of great stalwarts and maestros. Equally brilliant within traditional as well as experimental genres, Amit has carved out an unique niche for himself in his diverse avatars as classical musician.

Sarod-Virtuose Apratim Majumder gilt als der gedankenreichste und kreativste Sarod-Spieler seiner Generation und hat bereits hunderte von Konzerten gegeben. Apratim wurde 1978 geboren und begann seine musikalische Ausbildung im Alter von fünf Jahren. Er studierte Musik für mehr als 23 Jahre und wurde zunächst von Prof. Rabin Ghosh unterrichtete - in strenger Disziplin und perfektem Senia Maihar Gharana-Stil. Apratim erhielt auch Lehrstunden von Shree Partho Sarothy.

Amit Chatterjee, der Star-Tabla-Spieler, begleitet regelmäßig einige der größten Namen in der indischen klassischen Musik. Mit einer einzigartigen Mischung aus Farukhabad und Punjab erreicht er eine außerordentliche musikalische Vielfalt. Ebenso brillant in traditionellen als auch experimentelle Genres, hat Amit eine einzigartige Nische für sich selbst in der klassischen indischen Musik geschaffen.
