The Department of commerce has recently launched a user-friendly IndianTrade Portal - www.indiantradeportal.in. The portal provides information on Trade Agreements, MFN and Preferential tariffs, Export and Import Policy at item level, Export incentives like Duty Drawback and Merchandise Export from India scheme (MEIS), SPS/TBT measures adopted by various countries including India, Export Markets, import sources, FAQs on Exports, Trade statistics etc. Access to the data is free. One can subscribe on to the portal, free of any charge to receive alerts by SMS and Email on any tariff update, policy changes etc.
