Face to Face is a dance theatre dialogue between Sita and Draupadi two powerful women from Indian religion and mythology.
Ms Jyotsna Shourie is the Founder and Director of the Jyotsna Shourie Dance Society which was established in 1990. She has been a dancer, a choreographer and curator of arts for many decades. Her dance company brings a contemporary approach and rich vitality to the art of Bharatanatyam and they strive to combine creative excellence with a global vision in the hope of widening the frontiers of classical dance. Over the years, Jyotsna has had opportunities to perform extensively throughout India and in a number of countries abroad, including the U.K, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Sweden, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates, acting as a cultural ambassador in spreading the understanding and appreciation of dance.
Jyotsna Shourieis empaneled with the ICCR and her programs have been specially recorded on national TV. She has conceptualized and choreographed innovative dance dramas, both contemporary and traditional that have been well received. Jyotsna’s students have participated in festivals in Spain, U.K, and Norway, and have competed with other international dancers in the Czech Republic winning prizes for excellence.

During the month of October, 2016 Jyotsna and her troupe of 4 professional dancers are touring through Europe to present 'Face to Face' - an unusual theatrical dance presentation based on the lives of two iconic women from Indian mythology, namely Sita and Draupadi. The narrative draws from epics of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and artistically weaves an inspiring story, highlighting the often traumatic lives of these two extraordinary women. Though Sita and Draupadi lived in different eras, artistic liberty places them on the same stage together, where they come 'face to face' to share their story. There are dialogues in English making the program akin to dance - theatre. The music for the production is recorded and has been composed and sung by well known singer Sri O. S. Arun. The program is for 75 minutes with no intermission.

JyotsnaShourie ist eine Tänzerin, ein Choreograf und Kunst – Kuratorin und gründete 1990 dieJyotsnaShourie Dance Society. Diese bringt einen modernen Ansatz und reiche Vitalität in die Kunst des Bharatanatyam. Jyotsnastrebtdanach, kreative Exzellenz mit einer globalen Vision zu kombinieren, um so die Grenzen des klassischen Tanzes zu erweitern. Im Laufe der Jahre hatteJyotsnazahlreiche Auftritte in ganz Indien, in Großbritannien, Irland, Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, der Schweiz, der Tschechischen Republik, den Niederlanden, Schweden, Thailand, Indonesien, Malaysia, und in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten, um als Kulturbotschafterin das Verständnis und die Wertschätzung für indischen Tanz zu verbreiten.
JyotsnaShourieist eine beim Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR)gelistete Künstlerin und ihre Programme wurden im nationalen Fernsehen aufgezeichnet. Sie hat sowohl moderne als auch traditionelle innovative Tanzdramen konzipiert und choreografiert. Ihre Studenten haben bei Festivals in Spanien, U.K.,Norwegen und in der Tschechischen Republik teilgenommen und haben internationale Preise für herausragende Leistungen gewonnen.

Im Oktober 2016 tourt Jyotsnamit ihrer Truppe von 4 professionellen Tänzer durch Europa,um "Face to Face" - ein ungewöhnliches Tanztheaterstück zu präsentieren. Dieses basiert auf dem Leben zweier ikonischer Frauen aus der indischen Mythologie: Sita und Draupadi. Die Handlung ist an die Epen Ramayana und Mahabharataangelehnt und webt künstlerisch eine inspirierende Geschichte um die oft traumatischen Leben dieser beiden außergewöhnlichen Frauen. Obwohl Sita und Draupadi in verschiedenen Epochen gelebt haben, werden sie hier auf eine Bühne gestellt, wo sie "von Angesicht zu Angesicht 'ihre Geschichten teilen. Es gibt Dialoge in englischer Sprache, die Musik für die Produktion wurde von bekannten Sänger Sri O. S. Arun komponiert, gesungen und aufgenommen. Das Stück läuft 75 Minuten ohne Pause.
