Carnatic music from Southern India owes its name to the Sanskrit term “Karnâtaka Sangîtam” which denotes "traditional" or "codified" music. The corresponding Tamil concept is known as “Tamil Isai”. The present concert format evolved during the 20th century. Depending on a performer's background and outlook, a performance may be inspired by ancient scriptures, the great epics, mythology, philosophy, the customs and legends associated with a particular place of pilgrimage, lullabies or love poetry. Whatever a musician's background or outlook may be, the aim of a performance is undiluted aesthetic experience (rasa). This is achieved by means of three concepts: raga (tuneful rendition with minute intervals and rich in embellishments), tala (rhythmic order marked by mathematical precision), and bhava (genuine expressivity

Manickam Yogeswaran is internationally renowned for his live performances. His concerts are marked by a unique blend of virtuosity, creativity, teamwork and versatility in the choice of his repertoire. He performed a special song composed by Jocelyn Pook as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee in June 2012. Yogeswaran contributed to several movie soundtracks including Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut, Spike Lee's The 25th Hour and Brick Lane. International critics acclaimed him as "the first ever Tamil voice in Hollywood" and “singer in the Indian classical tradition, a great improviser and someone who brings a completely different approach to intonation”. His power of voice derives from the temple tradition to which he was exposed in his early childhood. This not only shaped his passion for Thevaram Hymns, Tamil Isai and Carnatic music but also accounts for the fact that his musical creativity has found expression from the concert halls of Chennai, the hub of Carnatic music, to Hollywood. Yogeswaran’s voice has reached listeners from all cultural backgrounds, be it in a prestigious festival like the BBC Proms, Glastonbury, Arts and ideas Festival (USA), Spitalfields ,and Womad. He is equally home in contemporary music and Bharatha Natyam (south Indian Classical dance) stages all over the UK, Europe, and Canada. His album PEACE FOR PARADISE was launched at the British Houses of Parliament. Yogeswaran’s music is inspired by modern living in a global context. Among a large body of recorded music for pure listening, live dance performances, multi media productions and film sound tracks, his CD recordings THIRUKKURAL IN 133 RAGAM and TAMIL CLASSICS convey his versatility and accomplishment.

Sri Kannan Packiyarajah had his initial training in violin under his father Sri Packiyarajah (Sithi), a professional violinist from Jaffna/Sri Lanka. He continued his music studies at the university of Jaffna and received the title of “Esai Kalaimani”. He continued his training from his Guru Parur Sri M.S Anantharaman from South India. Kannan was rated in the highest category of artists by the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation for Carnatic music, violin solo, light classical music and composing. He was leading the orchestra at the SLBC for a number of years. Kannan served as a lecturer at the Indian fine arts society in Singapore before he moved to the UK. He performs as soloist and he is most sort after accompanying violinist in Carnatic concerts. He is the founder and director of “Yalosai music school” in the south of England where he teaches violin, flute and guitar. He had performed in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Scandinavia and in many parts of Europe.

Prasanth Pranavanathan had his initial trainning in Mridangam under his Father “Sangita Rathnam” Sri S.Pranavanathan. He continues his training under the tutelege of “Mirdanga Vidwan” Guru Sri Karaikudi R. Mani from South India. Prasanth has accompanied many Carnatic musicians from India and abroad for more than a decade. He accompanies Bharathanathyam performances and Arangetrams across Europe.

Diekarnatische (südindische) Musikverdankt ihren Namen dem Sanskrit-Begriff "Karnâtaka Sangîtam", der "traditionelle" oder "kodifizierte" Musik bezeichnet. Das entsprechende tamilische Konzept wird als "Tamil Isai" bezeichnet. Das Konzertformat entwickelte sich im 20. Jahrhundert. Je nach Hintergrund und Konzept des Performers kann eine Aufführung von alten Schriften, großen Epen, Mythologie, Philosophie, Bräuchen und Legenden, oder von bestimmten Wallfahrtsorten inspiriert sein – mit dem Ziel, eine ästhetische Erfahrung (rasa) zu erzeugen. Dies geschieht durch drei Begriffe: Raga (melodische Wiedergabe in Intervallen und reichen Verzierungen), Tala (rhythmische Ordnung durch mathematische Präzision) und Bhava (echte Expressivität).

Manickam Yogeswaran ist international bekannt für seine Live-Auftritte. Seine Konzerte zeichnen sich durch eine einzigartige Mischung aus Virtuosität, Kreativität, Teamwork und Vielseitigkeit der Wahl seines Repertoires aus. Er ist gleichermaßen künstlerisch beheimatet in der zeitgenössischen Musik als auch in Bharatanatyam (südindischer klassischer Tanz). Sein Album PEACE FOR PARADISE wurde im britischen House of Parliament veröffentlicht. Die Musik von Yogeswaran ist inspiriert vom modernen Leben im globalen Kontext. Seine CD-Aufnahmen THIRUKKURAL IN 133 RAGAM und TAMIL CLASSICS vermitteln die Vielseitigkeit seines Könnens.

Er gab Konzerte in Australien, Singapur, Malaysia, Skandinavien und in vielen Teilen Europas.
