The procedure for applying for a (Consular record-based) birth certificate is as follows:

i. Please write a letter addressed to the Consular officer, asking for the certificate, explaining the purpose for which the birth certificate is required.

ii. Please transfer the fee as per the link (here).

iii. The documents required for a birth certificate are:

      a. Request Letter

      b. Copy of Indian Passport and copy of visa

      c. Residence Proof (Anmeldung/ Meldebescheinigung)
